Thoughts Are Just Thoughts

Start introducing doubt
What I am doing is enough

Tuesday
Nappy changes for both L and S
Made L breakfast and helped E with homework (on commas)
Washed and dried the dishes, got ready
Work: teaching feedback, progress test, marked these and wrote cycle feedback; raised a student concern with my manager (follow-up formal concern)
Picked E up from school and took her swimming
Play and tickles with L and daddy before bed
Got S ready for and into bed

Wednesday
Changed S's nappy and made her breakfast
Helped get E ready, she read her school book with me, a few minutes gaming
I pretended L was too heavy to lift and hid with her in her bed
As usual, when I ate my breakfast the girls ate more and sat with me
Matt folded the laundry and did the school run
I played and sang with L and S
Work: co-delivered a Master's critical writing session; emails; confirmed for a librarian to talk to my college students about databases and effective/critical writing; inquired about doing a Cert Ed with either of my departments (they'll look into it)

Thursday
Did E's school reading and related questions
Helped feed L and S and I cut the girls' nails
Helped choose Matt some glasses, Matt made some lunch
Collected E from school, attended parents evening, had dinner, and took her to judo
E to infer meaning from her reading and practice sentence starters, punctuation

Friday
S: changed nappy, cuddles and songs
Played with the girls, made them squash
E: explained times tables as easier counting with an example of the class on a school trip - leading onto her homework, mostly done
Work: taught a foundation sociology class; caught student up on progress test; emails; student concern; applied for a mentorship scheme; team cocktail making
Played with L and S and comforted S before bed
By request, I read E the My Journey story that I wrote after she was born

Saturday
Changed nappies and they enjoyed a floor breakfast (why not?)
We all took E to judo, her friend started and she was awarded star of the day
Arranged a play date and cinema date for the girls during half-term
Found a potential internal job to apply for, researched the requirements
At home the girls were doing exercise videos - L saying 'Mummy, want more'
Played with all the girls; E story, some read by her, and judo practice before bed
Spent the evening creating a Frozen Olaf Tonie and researching characters

Sunday
We all got ready and went to church, met a friend and S's godmother there
Enquired about E making her first holy communion with deacon and priest
Swapped a Tonie character with someone from a facebook group
Went to Swindon Outlet, took some nice photos of the girls
Home; video call with nana; Matt firmed up E's stay with his parents
More research on Tonies and identified a geography series: Carmen Sandiego
E and I watched 'Mummy Sing to Me' and listened to music

Monday
Played with the girls in the morning, lots of carrying them, sometimes all at once
Walked all three to the library where we met my volunteer and then to the park
All walked back home where Matt was servicing our bikes - I took E for a ride
Dinner together, video call with nanna, and helped partner with a work email

Tuesday
Made all three children breakfast, played ball with them on the floor, cut their nails
Started my application for the internal job; emailed my careers coach for advice
Helped Matt complete a flexible working form using my work access
Work: taught a foundation and Master's class on rights and reflective thinking
Had dinner with Matt and the girls, E was quite clingy this evening
Great advice received back from my career coach - plenty of ideas to incorporate

Wednesday
Last night and this morning were spent completing my internal job application
Hours of revisions, research and the use of headings made it a comprehensive piece
Work: taught the same Master's reflective thinking workshop to a different group
Came home to have dinner and spend some time playing with the girls
LinkedIn: updated my page and reached out to the colleague advertising the role, general searches and reading, signed up to a free seminar series
Began my Open University course: Exploring career mentoring and coaching (two weeks done)

Thursday
Played a game we called 'coffee hat' with the girls at breakfast time
Took E to the cinema to meet my mum friend and her children
Work: taught the final Master's workshop on Gibbs and reflective thinking
Emailed the module leader who said 'your gain would be my loss' when I was upfront about the application
Played with the children and apparently wound them up before bed
Took E to judo, spoke to the parents of a child who hadn't been kind to her on the mat; all resolved and apparently I'm the best person to come to
LinkedIn: expressed interest in a webinar, sent out new connection requests, made comments; sent a DM to a fellow mum and colleague with an interesting profile
L: cuddled up to me when she came in at night, I loved it

Friday
L and S joined me in bed for nice cuddles and play this morning
Did a quick rotation on my game and made sure funds were in place for our bills
Matt went food shopping, I caught up on Emmerdale while watching all three girls
Played a pretend eating game, ball and sang lullabies to all the girls
Helped them get ready for Halloween, I did their face paint
S: we had cuddles and bedtime, Matt took the others trick-or-treating

Saturday
Played and danced with the girls after breakfast, lots of laughter
Took E to judo, she achieved a certificate and had a nice lesson
Bought us lunch before we went to the cinema with a friend, I watched Corpse Bride in a different screen
Matt took the little ones out while I stayed out with E and our friends (S's godmother)
E and I had a small dinner before going to church, we saw her headteacher
Looked through our Tonies, as we have several coming for Christmas

Sunday
Nice, relaxed morning today because we have already been to church
All the children joined me in bed for cuddles, E put on my custom Olaf Tonie
Matt took E to a party while I looked after the little ones; L asked to stay with me, which I can't actually recall happening before
I played my game while they slept, someone arrived to collect a high chair (space!)
Matt helped E with her homework while S slept and I entertained L mostly with Frozen
E watched Matilda (again), went through her homework with me and I took her to bed
Categorised all our Tonies current and pending now we have a collection of them
Matt mentioned that Matilda is coming to the theatre next year, which we've promised
